Carbon dioxide concentrations
Based on measurements taken from air trapped in ice cores, carbon dioxide concentrations were fairly stable at around 280 parts per million (ppm) from 1000 AD to around 1800 AD. After that they began climbing, surpassing 340 ppm before 2000 AD.
