About NEPI

The National Energy Policy Institute (NEPI) is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the University of Tulsa.    NEPI was created in 2008 with a generous donation from the George Kaiser Family Foundation and aims to provide policymakers with better research with which to design energy policy.    NEPI explicitly looks at all areas of energy, from renewables to fossil fuels, with an eye toward combating climate change and promoting energy security.

NEPI’s President is Tony Knowles, the former Governor of Alaska, and its Director is Brad Carson, a professor of business at the University of Tulsa and a former U.S. Congressman.
